Center for Birds of Prey Launches Haiku Contest for In-Person Storywalk

The Heart for Birds of Prey is looking all haiku writers and passionate poets to have a good time Worldwide Vulture Consciousness Day with haikus celebrating the 2 vulture species present in Florida: Turkey Vultures and Black Vultures. Fifteen winners shall be chosen and featured alongside the Heart for Birds of Prey’s storywalk. Submissions available here.

What’s a haiku?

Poets have to be over 18 years of age, and no AI (synthetic intelligence) is permitted for use in drafting or enhancing the haikus.

Winners obtain the satisfaction of getting their poem included within the storywalk, in addition to a free annual membership to the Heart for Birds of Prey. Poet’s title (as entered on the submission kind) shall be included alongside their poem, until the poet chooses to stay nameless.
