Most lively June stay cattle contracts gained 2.275 cents to settle at 199.075 cents a pound. August stay cattle closed at 195.825 cents a pound, up 1.975 cents.
Most lively Could feeder cattle futures settled at 280.950 cents per pound, up 2.250 cents. August feeders closed at 286.150 cents, up 2.475 cents a pound.
Selection boxed beef ended the day at $335.63, up $1.41, in keeping with the USDA’s afternoon report. Choose field beef closed at $315.85, up $1.89.
Most lively June lean hog futures gained 1.800 cents to settle at 95.125 cents a pound, whereas July lean hogs closed at 95.500 cents per pound, up 1.900 cents.
