U.S. livestock: Cattle markets mostly higher

Cattle futures on the Chicago Mercantile Trade have been principally increased on Monday, though the close by October dwell cattle contract settled with small losses on the last bell.

The October dwell cattle contract misplaced 0.175 cents per pound at 235.800 cents whereas the December contract was up 0.125 cents at 237.575 cents.

October feeder cattle futures have been up by 1.275 cents per pound at 359.175 cents per pound.

Indonesia has authorised 17 new Brazilian meat packing crops to export beef to the nation, reported Brazil’s Agriculture Ministry. A complete of 38 Brazilian meat packers can now promote merchandise to Indonesia.

The U.S. Division of Agriculture reported wholesale boxed beef costs have been blended on the day, with alternative packing containers down $1.07 at $409.69 per hundredweight and choose packing containers up $0.15 at $385.34.

Lean hog costs have been down 0.875 cents per pound within the October contract at 95.150 cents.
