In 2025, we rejoice 125 years of Audubon in Florida with two thrilling new displays.
Fashioned to deliver wading birds again from the brink of extinction, Audubon has been working for greater than a century to guard birds as a result of we all know that the issues birds depend on—wholesome habitats, clear air, ample contemporary water, resilient coastlines—are the identical issues that folks and different wildlife have to thrive. Birds are symbols and sentinels to measure our success, and so they encourage us to work collaboratively and expansively all through the hemisphere. In easiest phrases, “what’s good for birds is nice for the Earth.”
By a sequence of historic pictures, modern imagery, artwork items, and historic artifacts, we’re bringing this historical past to life on the Jacksonville airport from July 3 by December 15, 2025, and in West Volusia Audubon’s Lyonia Environmental Heart from July 10 by October 10, 2025.
Our Jacksonville Airport exhibit contains chapter conservation highlights, together with EagleWatch monitoring by St. Johns Audubon Society and efforts to cut back bird-window collisions by Duval Audubon Society.
