Boots on the Ground in Texas Communities are What Makes a Difference.

Audubon Chapters are the boots on the bottom throughout the Lone Star State, and we’re fortunate to have native Audubon chapters and organizations that assist the Audubon mission. Chapters know the neighborhood, the wants, and the birds. They will share the message of fowl conservation and make true change whether or not it’s planting native gardens of their neighborhoods or internet hosting Birding 101 lessons in Spanish. The work of chapters is important as we work in the direction of constructing a flock of various Audubon members that transfer up the ladder of engagement.  

For over 30 years, Audubon Basis of Texas (AFT) has been financially helping Texas Chapters to assist their work in key areas together with environmental schooling, neighborhood science, habitat restoration, native vegetation, neighborhood outreach, and conservation.   

In fall of 2025, AFT awarded over $15,000 to chapters throughout Texas and a further $5,000 value of reward playing cards from HEB! With this cash our Texas Chapters will work on quite a lot of initiatives throughout seven totally different ecoregions in Texas in 10 totally different communities.
